Mountainbiking: Airtime in the Allgäu

Spectacular pictures from the foothills of the Allgäu Alps. Mountainbike downhill over tricky forest trails and a jumping show on natural and artificial kickers and ramps …

Some young and dedicated mountain bikers show brilliant control and flying skills on the bike in their technically demanding home territory. Already some years ago I had the opportunity to do a session with the young athletes. Now, 6 years later, we have repeated the same event … action photography in the shady forest was then and still is today demanding – and therefore exactly the right thing for me and my D850 and the new 2.8 lenses.

In the meantime, the guys from the Westallgäu have developed incredibly, both in terms of driving skills and jumps, but also in terms of the expansion of their small park in the forest.

Some awesome ramps and kickers have been redesigned – and the riders have shown me and my camera impressively that they really master them perfectly!

In 5 hours of intensive action we created spectacular mountainbike downhill and jumping shots – it was a lot of fun for all of us and further actions (freestyle, cross country) are already planned!
