Mountainbike transalp adventure: It was a surprising (and quite cheeky) request … but I accepted and accompanied a group of students of the Welfen-Gymnasium Schongau photographically at their project seminar “MTB-Transalp”.

It was cheeky because, of course, there was no budget available for a photographer – on the contrary, I had to pay myself for everything. But somehow this made me curious and finally I agreed on the condition that I would get a model release from all the participants and could distribute the pictures through my agency. 

The tour was organized completely by the students themselves under the guidance of a very experienced teacher and professional mountain biker in various workshops, whereby the guidance during the tour itself was of course the responsibility of the two accompanying teachers.

Also for me it was the first bigger MTB tour after a long time, whereby I was glad that parts of my equipment found place in the support vehicle of the tour and I only had to carry the most necessary equipment during the daily stages.
